Job Description
We are looking for an Account Executive to assist Advertising Department Senior AEs in day-to-day client service. You’ll become a trusted partner to your clients, helping them plan, coordinate, and lead marketing efforts to reach client objectives. Alongside your colleagues, you’ll maintain teamwork across departments. You will also maintain a working relationship and establish a high level of trust and competence with counterpart(s) in your client’s organization. You must be enthusiastic self-starter and multitasker who already knows the language of agency life and can pivot, depending upon each client’s specific needs.
Note: This is a full-time, on-site position.
Qualifications
Essential Functions:
- Develops and maintains a strong, trusting partnership between agency and client by establishing a solid, professional relationship.
- Meets/communicates with client on a regular basis and serves as a primary client contact; lead and manage status calls with clients.
- Implements positioning and communications strategies in partnership with the client and the entire account team.
- Keeps abreast of changes, trends and issues related to client’s industry and presents quarterly report to team leadership.
- Clearly communicates strategies to team members and ensures that all communication meets client objectives.
- Downloads all information, communicates priorities, sets timelines, and ensures client expectations are met.
- Develops and maintains an intimate working knowledge of all agency departments.
- Analyzes and develops client performance reports, when applicable.
- Writes communication briefs and creates timelines to ensure strategy stays within client expectations, budget and desired timing.
- Briefs team planners or strategists and prepares proper material.
- Maintain account budgets, evaluates accounts for maximum profitability, and provides client with ongoing, accurate budget reports.
- Actively cross-sells agency disciplines not currently employed by client.
- Conducts regular internal meetings as needed to debrief from client expectations.
- Educates and trains new team members on client/account history and agency operating procedures.
- Must have effective interpersonal and personal organizational skills.
Additional Information
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, or communications.
- 2-3 years’ experience as an account coordinator/account executive in an agency setting (Marketing, Promotion, Advertising, PR)
- Familiar with marketing strategies and budget management
- Experience in Health Care is a plus
