Job Description:
Reporting to the Founder/Principal and Management, this individual will be a key member of the team providing accounting, tax planning, cash management, bill payment, payroll, financial planning strategy, and preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for clients. This role will always provide outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to all internal and external parties.
This individual has a detail-oriented and organized mindset throughout all their work with the ability to prioritize deadlines and effectively and efficiently problem solve. Staff accountants play a crucial role in all day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accuracy in all financial records, data entry, analyzing financial data, preparing financial statements/reports, and ensuring compliance internally and externally. This individual will collaborate with all Bässler team members to support the firms’ objectives and provide valuable insights to all Bässler team members and client portfolios. This role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting practices and procedures while supporting the entire team in achieving Bässler’s objectives. The focus of this role is to develop the skills necessary to grow your accounting and business management career, while learning to build good client relationships and create high quality deliverables consistently.

Responsibilities:
Ongoing management of multiple clients requiring in-depth communication to ensure excellent customer and financial service
Preparation and review of financial reporting, inclusive of review with higher staff levels for edits, accuracy, and completion
Preparation and review of account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
Preparing of recurring and ongoing posting of journal entries
AR/AP, Payroll, Account reconciliations
Business Process Filings (B&O, Property Tax, etc.)
Ad-Hoc business reports and financial statement generation as necessary
1099 and W-2 preparation
Provide support to outside auditors, tax preparers, and legal teams
Ensure compliance with all agencies: State, Local, Federal (Payroll, B&O Tax, State Tax, etc.)
Assist with additional projects as requested
Provide the highest level of customer service throughout all client interactions and internal communications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
1-2 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or related industry
Outstanding customer relationship management experience
GAAP, Tax, and accrual-based accounting knowledge. Position has significant accounting components and requires a strong understanding of accounting and its application
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Experience with QuickBooks online is a plus
Strong organizational and project management skills. Proven ability to plan and manage projects independently along with ensuring high quality deliverables
Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills. Position involves communication and presentations to client stakeholders, including executives and principals
Must have critical attention to detail and be a strong analytical thinker
Must be an organized detail-oriented problem solver capable of managing multiple priorities
Must demonstrate a humble no task is too big or too small attitude
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Salary : $70,000 - $78,500
