Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team, consisting of subcontractors and vendors under contract to perform agreed upon scope of work.
- Coordinating and overseeing all tradesmen’s work on active jobsites ensuring quality, accuracy, safe practices and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Attending bi-weekly production meetings.
- Attending site meetings with subcontractors, owners, design team, and other personnel on an as-required basis.
- Working with Project Management team in developing, reviewing, and becoming familiar with project schedules, budgets, milestones, objectives as they apply to GC contract with client.
- Ensuring quality standards are met in accordance to best practices for individual trades, and all plans, reviewed submittals, and specifications are followed.
- Placing orders for materials as needed, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Updating and distributing look ahead schedules, while corresponding with leadership from subcontractors teams in order to assure adherence.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance in accordance with OSHA training/standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite and holding all parties onsite responsible for their cleanliness. Responsible for vehicle cleanliness and working with shop manager for regular vehicle maintenance appointments for company vehicle.
- Maintaining/distributing as required/filing records pertaining to all onsite activities including required daily photos, required daily logs, and creation and/or collaboration with PM/APM on RFI submissions.
- Documenting discrepancies with subcontractor and/or owner or any condition that may arise and cause delays in project life-cyle. Clearly communicating circumstances surrounding unforeseen conditions and/or delays with PM so that client can be notified in an immediate fashion.
- Collaborating with PM/APM on submittal process and moving submittals through the review pipeline in order to maintain project schedule.
- Collaborating with subcontractors and PM/APM to find creative solutions for improving project schedules as well as overcoming challenges in order to eliminate downtime.
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding all approvals/requirements pertaining to obtaining a CO in the jurisdiction the project is located.
- Development of punchlist for assigned projects and working with the project management team in order to distribute, schedule vendors, and complete prior to scheduled project completion date.
- Managing and completing tasks assigned by PM, outside of currently assigned projects on an as-needed basis – examples include: coverage of other projects, site visits/surveys, attending meetings, and trainings.
Construction Superintendent Requirements: 5-7 years experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- ProCore experience.
- Proficient with MS Office Word, MS Excel and MS Project.
- Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- 5-7 years Out of the ground, Fit Out, Renovation, QSR, Dry Storage/Warehouse, Tilt Up Experience all a plus
- Out of the ground Car Wash experience a big plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
