Summary
The Business Continuity Planning Administrator manages all aspects of the Business Continuity Planning Program Lifecycle. The lifecycle includes annual plan reviews, plan acceptance, plan approvals, the annual Business Continuity Impact Analysis for each planning unit, training, and continuity plan exercises. The planning administrator is also responsible for the annual review of the Business Continuity threat and risk assessment and is an active member of the Emergency Operations Center administration team.
Specific Job Functions
- Ensure all departments participate in an annual review of the area’s Business Continuity Plan.
- Manage the Catalyst Business Continuity Program Management System.
- Manage the process for annual plan acceptance and approvals.
- Prepare and present quarterly reports to the Operating Committee and Risk Committee of the Board.
- Advise planning unit team leaders on adopting effective recovery and continuity strategies.
- Conduct Business Continuity vendor reviews and issues an opinion on acceptable status of the solution as detailed in the Vendor Risk Classification Reports.
- Manage the Business Continuity training programs for all teammates.
- Respond to regulatory, internal and third-party assessments and exams.
- Serve as an alternate leader on the Emergency Operations Center.
- Manage the process for ensuring emergency reentry credentials are available to key teammates across our footprint.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements as they pertain to Business Continuity.
- Serve as an administrator of the AlertMedia emergency notification system.
- Participate in Operations Initiatives as required to assist Operations Teams in meeting corporate goals and initiatives.
- Coordinate recovery exercises as needed to test the effectiveness of the BC plans.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Four (4) – Seven (7) years’ of bank operations experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communicator
- Must possess a high-level understanding of Bank operations and services
- Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to prepare and present materials comfortably and in terms that are easily understood by teammates of multiple disciplines
- Understanding of regulatory requirements relating to the availability of banking services
