Summary
The Risk Management Analyst will coordinate among all areas of risk and business lines to help support the development and implementation of the Risk Management program. This position is to drive communication and reporting in order to produce value-added, actionable risk analytics and governance information. The Risk Management Analyst will help to identify, assess, and prioritize risk, develop processes for the measurement of risk, and report on issues throughout the organization. Thi9s position will support the development and growth of the organizations risk management framework with an emphasis on risk identification and assessment, operational risk, governance, and reporting.
Specific Job Functions
- Assists with and provide effective challenge to business model validations to ensure the accuracy and validity of model assumptions, mathematical formulation, implementation, and reporting.
- Facilitates risk assessment development, discussions, and analyses with risk groups throughout the organization.
- Maintain and follow risk assessment and model validation schedules to ensure timeliness of oversight and reporting.
- In conjunction with other risk management areas, helps develop, implement, monitor, and manage risk mitigation programs.
- Participates in enterprise risk initiatives, committee meetings, and other governance work and leverages technologies such as SharePoint.
- Coordinates processes to effectively document and monitor new products and services risk decisions, and governance and maintenance of key risk policies.
- Participates in committee and governance meetings and assists in bringing together broad groups of risk professionals across the corporation.
- Builds presentations appropriate for senior management and effectively communicates complex topics.
- Assists in providing data as may be needed for internal or external audits or regulatory examinations.
- Supports the creation of training or support to various stakeholders in order to drive awareness and understanding of Enterprise Risk Management and Model Risk Management
- Involved with bank-wide projects as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
- This position is remote, but applicant must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi or Texas.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Two (2) years in internal audit, bank risk management, data analytics, risk assessments is required.
- Board level reporting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and others about the financial institution’s risk programs and policies.
