Direct Support Professional

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at our Day Support Activities Program in Dallas. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence. Your work will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in developing social skills and engaging in community activities.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each person.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for individuals in your care.
• Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support.

Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience or training in one or more of the following areas:

• Social work or related fields
• Working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• First aid/ CPR certification
• Oregon Intervention System Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
