Summary:
The Design Build Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day landscape construction operations to ensure project delivery meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Source, purchase, receive and inspect all the materials for projects. A great leader that works with all foremen in field operations, sales and project management. Supervise and mentor teams, manage budgets, schedules, and foster innovation in process.

Customer and quality focus
Job Duties:
Lead and guide design build construction crews daily.
Managing and scheduling the execution of construction projects, planning labor requirements, equipment requirements and material deliveries and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines.
Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to delegate/complete work activities
Communicate effectively with sub-contractors, clients, architects, project managers, and Foreman.
Assist project Foreman with layout and shooting of grades of pools. walkways, patios, walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits/fireplaces, wooden structures, plant beds, planting. and lawn areas.
Knowledge of various tools and equipment. Including heavy equipment, full and mini size excavators, skid steers, various attachments, hydro seeder chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
Site visits. Manage safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/or shop/yard
Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas
Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including daily site meeting logs, crew daily forms, equipment daily inspection forms, attendance tracking, time and materials billing summaries, requests for time off, etc.
Safety First. Lead a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards, routine checks and identify and maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Comply with all company policies and regulations
Participate in recruitment activities by conducting secondary interviews with potential job candidates
Conduct on-site orientations with new employees and employees in new positions, which cover all company health and safety policies, practices, and procedures
Employee training
Requirements:
A degree in landscape, construction or business management
A high school diploma, GED with equivalent industry experience. Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in similar role.
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) with clients, team members, sub-contractors, architects and designer
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
Speak, read, and write English
Proficiency in LMN, Microsoft Outlook, Procore, and familiar with mobile applications for project management (Will Train)
Work Conditions:
Position requires being in an office, company vehicle, project sites, material yards, nurseries, and quarries.
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
