Position Title: Graduate Student Assistant to the Provost
Hours: 20 hours per week

Rate: $25.00
Location: Remote, with regular check-ins with the Provost
Reports To: Provost, Babson College

Position Overview

The Graduate Student Assistant will support the Provost by conducting basic research and analysis on various topics, including Babson College, the evolving landscape of higher education, and other topics as assigned. The role requires a self-starter with strong writing skills who can work independently and provide high-quality, concise summaries and insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and compile reports.
• Analyze trends in higher education, including regulatory changes, accreditation requirements, and innovations in teaching and learning.
• Summarize academic and industry reports relevant to the strategic direction of Babson College.
• Assist with drafting presentations, memos, and briefings for the Provost.
• Prepare background materials and talking points for meetings, conferences, and external engagements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Work Environment & Expectations

• The position is fully remote but requires regular check-ins with the Provost.
• Work hours are flexible but should be structured to meet deadlines and deliverables.
• The assistant must be proactive in managing tasks and communicating progress.
• Confidentiality and professionalism are essential in handling sensitive information.
