About the Job:
As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our egg warehouse. You will oversee the daily activities of our team, including direct supervision of 12 employees, planning and assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Additionally, you will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to prepare reports and records, manage employee training and safety development, and keep the Breeder manager informed about inventory and other necessary information. You will also collaborate with egg truck drivers to ensure timely egg pickup from farms and coordinate supplies to farms and make sure of timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Directing hourly personnel in carrying out egg warehouse assignments
* Preparing reports and records to ensure accurate inventory management
* Managing employee training and safety development to improve job skills and knowledge
* Keeping the Breeder manager informed about inventory and other necessary information
* Supervising 12 employees and planning and assigning work
* Appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
* Collaborating with egg truck drivers to ensure timely egg pickup from farms and coordinating supplies to farms and making sure of timely deliveries
Requirements:
This position requires an Associate's degree or equivalent in agriculture, science, business, or a related area, along with two years of related experience and/or training. Alternatively, you can have an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and proficiency in data entry and payroll software. Problem-solving skills, knowledge of database software, Internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software, as well as interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, group presentations, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds are also required.
