Bachoco USA is seeking a Production Assistant for our Fort Smith, AR location.
Summary: Reports production data from both shifts. Makes sure all reports are correct and sent to the proper departments as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Production Reporting:
- Produces production reports for Plant 2.
- Makes needed transfers and adjustments in SOI on a daily and weekly basis.
- Performs weekly, monthly and annual inventory.
- Keep track of product distribution
Distribution System Operator:
- Send updates as needed on changes due to product mix
- Monitor birds per minute into drop base on product mix
- Makes changes on distribution lines as needed or request by supervisors
- Adjust line speed base on product
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Able to reset or refresh weighting and grading system
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
This is a safety sensitive position.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Inventory software; Payroll systems; and Word Processing software. Must have extensive knowledge in spreadsheet preparation to include; creation of pivot tables, develop and update formulas for calculations and graph spreadsheet results.
