Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional customer service from the moment they arrive.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and assisting with reservations.
- Collaborate with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with a positive attitude, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and promotional materials.
- Assist in training new staff members on guest services protocols and Aloha POS system usage as needed.
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette to manage incoming calls professionally.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine desire to help others and provide outstanding guest services.
