Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced chiropractic/medical environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations efficiently. This role requires proficiency in medical office management systems and a solid understanding of health information management.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the clinic.
- Handle incoming calls and communicating with onsite medical providers.
- Maintain patient records accurately using AdvancedMD and other Telehealth EHR systems.
- Assist with billing input of patient charges, inquiries and process payments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scanning, and managing correspondence.
- Call for medical records and MRI reports.
- Manage lobby cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a front desk or receptionist role within a medical, chiropractic and/or health wellness center is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical office management systems, particularly AdvancedMD is highly desirable but not necessary.
- Knowledge of health information management practices and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is advantageous.
Initial Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (noon-6pm), Friday (9am-12:30)
