Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Back Yard Burgers is seeking a full time Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Accounting team!
Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing the day to day functions of Accounts Payable to ensure finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
• Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Enters Accounts Payable invoices data into the system.
• Monitors online approval of invoices in our online billing management system
• Gathers W-9 information from vendors, sets up new vendors and maintains AP database.
• Responds to vendor inquiries.
• Maintains accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
• Prepares invoice copies for storage.
• Assists in monthly closing.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Files and maintains Accounts Payable invoices.
• Administration/troubleshooting of invoice portal and timely resolution of inquiries
•Respond, research, and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries, debit memos, invoice/check information, and vendor disputes.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Experienced with general ledger software, Sage a plus
• Experience with online billing system, Bill.com, a plus
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail, accuracy is required.
