The Job
The Project Manager is a deliberate, calculated, and results-driven role. This position serves as the central point of contact between the client and internal teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. As Project Manager, you will own projects, manage timelines and assign tasks. Further, you will coordinate cross-functional teams and proactively solve challenges to drive client satisfaction and campaign success.

The Work
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key liaison between the agency and the client, ensuring expectations are clearly defined and met.
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows, aligning internal teams with client goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Media and Strategy teams to ensure deliverables meet quality and brand standards.
- Risk Mitigation & Problem-Solving: Anticipate potential roadblocks, proactively address issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve workflows and enhance efficiency across project management practices.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-5 years of Project Management experience, preferably within an integrated marketing or advertising agency or similar fast-paced environment
- Proven experience managing large client accounts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and internal teams.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
- Client-Centric Approach: Dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences through proactive communication and strategic guidance
- Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail. Proven experience with Asana or similar PM tool
- Creative and Strategic Thinking: Capable of translating client goals into actionable, innovative solutions
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with peers, clients, and strategic partners
- Knowledge and basic understanding of Backbone’s services and offerings – including, SEO, SEM, Affiliate, Social Media, PR, Programmatic, and Retail Marketing
- Experience or ability to use a suite of tools and platforms to manage client relationships, campaigns, and workflows including: Project Management, CRM, Campaign Management, Data & Analytics, Content Creation & Design, and Communication
- Experience with budget management and financial tracking is a plus
- PMP or other Project Management certification is preferred but not required
- Be a ‘Specialist of Stoke’ in one of our core areas: Outdoor, Health & Wellness; Lifestyle; Hunt & Fish; Travel; Food & beverage
