The Bank Operations Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of ACH origination, operational aspects of the core processing software, and supporting the banks and associated financial applications.
*This person will be employed by our holding company, Backlund Investment Co, which is the holding company for Better Banks in the Peoria, IL area, and State Street Bank, located in Quincy, Illinois. This position is located in Chillicothe, IL, in a Better Banks branch.*
HOURS- Mon - Fri 9 am - 6 pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform various bank operational functions to include ACH processing and handling other bank transaction files.
- Verify teller transactions are accurate, correcting issues, and contacting the bank branches as needed.
- Work closely with bank staff and customers to manage and respond to ACH questions and issues.
- Create and maintain electronic forms using Jot Forms.
- Performs as subject matter expert for Jack Henry (JH) system, updating core data as needed.
- Provides financial and transaction reporting for internal systems, reporting agencies, and management as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Work Experience
- At least 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting department experience
Mental & Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit/stand/kneel/bend for extended periods
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Strong communication skills
- High level of accuracy/attention to detail
- Organization, prioritization, and time management
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Pay: $37,440.00 - $48,442.00 per year
