What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at Backyard Bistro?
We are gearing up for a busy summer season and now looking for an innovative leader to keep us humming.
The head chef will be responsible for daily and weekly ordering of supplies from major and local vendors, sourcing seasonal fresh foods. Our menu has certain staples, but is ever changing at our whim, with seasonality at the forefront. Managing prep list pars daily along with managing a clean, organized kitchen are a must. One week paid vacation per year and generous salary.
We are a small but busy eclectic restaurant in an affluent rural town. Attention to detail was paid to building this restaurant from scratch which is appreciated by our loyal customer base. Owners Jill and Adam Spell have been restaurant owners and managers for over 30 years and are a hands on operational team. Physical support and heavy lifting is shared.
