What are the responsibilities and job description for the BACON CO. COMMUNITY CARE OFFICE FLOATER position at Bacon County Hospital?
The position of Office Floater requires a flexible and adaptable employee who has the qualifications and skills to perform a variety of different job duties. As a floater, you may float between the Physician Offices locations or between departments including Pre-Cert Coordinator, Reception, and Billing. The job description for the Pre-Cert Coordinator includes scheduling out-patient treatments, diagnostic procedures, and other services deemed necessary. Activities include receiving physician orders, insurance verification, verifying or obtaining authorizations and pre-certifications in an efficient and timely manner. The job description for the Receptionist includes answering the phones promptly, checks patients in/out, verifies patient demographics and insurance eligibility, and processes all requests for medical records. The job description for the Patient Account Representative/Billing and Insurance Clerk includes assists patients with their billing questions, submits claims electronically and by paper, follows up on insurance denials, post payments, and work accounts in the collection buckets. The office floater position includes all other duties as assigned.
Minimal Qualifications:
Education: High School graduate. Must have basic knowledge of office machinery and equipment.
This is a full time position Monday thru Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 2pm.
