Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Septic Pump Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a septic pump truck to service residential septic systems. The operator will be tasked with performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:- Operate 2200-gallon septic pump truck to remove waste and liquids from residential septic systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and clean pump truck equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Safely transport and dispose of waste materials in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and general functionality.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including waste disposal logs, service dates, and equipment maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental standards while operating the truck.
- Troubleshoot minor issues with equipment and report major mechanical problems to management for repair.
- Assist with other tasks as needed, including the preparation and cleaning of work sites.
- Responsible for completion of hours of service as required by DOT.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (Class B or higher).
- Must possess a valid DOT medical card, also known as a Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Proven experience as a truck driver or septic tank operator.
- Knowledge of septic system operations and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labor.
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces when servicing septic systems.
- Must be comfortable driving a large truck and operating complex equipment.
Working Conditions:
