What You Will Contribute: This position is responsible for providing to customers field technical sales support for Badger Meter’s water metering product portfolio and ensuring issues get resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. This position also provides necessary technical training and assistance, system pre-installation planning with the customer, and other special sales support projects and activities as required. This position requires detailed technical knowledge and understanding of Badger Meter’s full utility product line as well as the ability to prioritize and schedule support and training activities. Provides field technical support for customers Performs field training for customers either onsite or using internet based methods Installs software on computers and network client machines to server based software and assists customers and distribution personnel with software upgrades Performs internal training and testing when new products or significant changes occur in existing products Provides feedback to corporate training group on training materials such as guides and quick reference cards Provides feedback to Marketing and Technical Support for purposes of resolving customer issues Assists Solution Architects with providing updated product and system training for Account Managers, Distribution field sales and independent distributors as requested Remains proficient and up–to-date in meter and system technology including software, both with Badger Meter products and competitive product offerings Assists with return material authorizations for all equipment with direction from Regional Manager and Solution Architect Responds to customer requests and questions in a timely manner. Communicates effectively to both internal and external customers Conducts all activity in such a manner as to comply with all governmental requirements applicable to the sale of Badger Meter’s products Supports sales plan objectives Additional projects, tasks and/or assignments as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a four year college In engineering, marketing, business or a related field. Experience in market analysis and distributor management preferred 5 or more years experience Advanced skill level in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint , and CSM System An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
