Summary:
The HSE Manager will develop a culture of safety at every level of the organization. Work to establish a high corporate value for safety and encourage operational excellence through standards of work that are safe and effective. Increase the value of the services we provide to our clients, reduces the cost of operation by mitigating risks, and provides a safe work environment for our employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develop, enhance, and implement the Badlands Contracting Safety Program to create a culture of safety throughout the company.
· Manage Badlands Contracting performance on safety platforms and within regulatory bodies such as ISN, PEC, OSHA, WSI, etc.
· Responsible for safety budget and forecasts in relation to the needs of the business
· Identify and implement training opportunities to increase health, safety, and environmental awareness in all areas of our business.
· Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, locations, equipment and materials.
· Creation, assessment, and altering safety procedures and policies according to best practices, industry trends, and customer demands.
· Research, implement, and execute new materials and processes in collaboration with the management team.
· Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees.
· Research environmental regulations and policies and implement changes to ensure compliance.
· Lead internal and external (sub-contractor) audits in relation to health, safety, and environmental practices and standards.
· Create and track incident metrics and apply findings.
· Effective case management and investigation of injuries, incidents, and claims
· Network with clients, contractors, and affiliate HSE representatives, as well as appropriate organizations and entities regarding emerging issues, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
· Act and communicate in a manner that will maintain a positive work atmosphere for clients, co-workers, and management.
· Practice safety on a daily basis, always wear appropriate PPE and be a leader in safety.
- Safety Equipment Management, ensure the availability and proper functioning of safety equipment.
· Other duties may also be assigned.

- Employee Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs for employees and supervisors on safety protocols, industrial hygiene, ergonomic practices, and hazardous material handling. Ensure continuous improvement of staff skills, focusing on safe maintenance practices and compliance.
- Reports and Documentation: Maintain updated documents and reports concerning incidents, audits, and inspections.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive the development and implementation of innovative safety solutions, creating new safety protocols and enhancing existing processes to support Badlands Contracting, LLC commitment to operational excellence and employee well-being.
Education & Experience:
· 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record in safety management and team supervision
· Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA standards regarding oil and gas industry.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
· Ability to lead and manage a team with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Work is usually done indoors and sometimes (rarely) at a client facility or job site. The incumbent may be expected to travel to other work sites with prior notice.
