Dispatcher

** This role is NOT REMOTE WORK - applicants must live within 50 miles of Carrollton, OH.

Badlands Tank Lines is looking to add a Dispatcher to our team in Carrollton, OH.

This position will ensure continuous, safe, and efficient crude oil distribution and the right person must be a dedicated individual, willing to work collaboratively and professionally in a fast-paced environment, with proven experience working well within a team, and strong initiative and judgement skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities:

• Assign daily dispatches in a timely, relevant, and accurate manner.
• Always maintain professionalism.
• Communicate all operational and maintenance issues to correct personnel.
• Minimize deadhead and wait time.
• Be able to organize tasks each day according to Area Managers expectations.
• Maintain positive relations with customers and field personnel.
• Notify drivers of assignments and enter assignment data into a database.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attendance a must.
• Experience in mapping and routing traffic is preferred.
• Competent with PC and applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Schedule:

• 6 and 1 Schedule
• 12 Hour Shift
• 24 Hour Dispatch
• Rotating shifts and schedules.
• More explanation during interview

Experience:

• Experience with live dispatch preferred.
• Dispatching experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of trucking industry is preferred.
• Oilfield experience is preferred.
