We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Greenlawn, NY. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering/Technical Operations group, you will play a critical role in sustaining engineering, process development, and new process implementation across the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research emerging trends, techniques, methods, and current best practices to improve processes and meet future challenges.* Develop new processes and implement changes in product flow to support the production line using lean manufacturing principles.* Analyze defect data to identify areas for improvement and increase yield.* Work with others to implement process improvements and apply Lean Six Sigma tools to solve production problems.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related discipline.* At least 4 years of job-related experience.* Strong interpersonal skills, including interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.* Ability to read and use technical drawings, wire lists, schematics, process sheets, and change orders.* Strong data analysis and written, verbal, and presentation skills required.* Preferred qualifications include Lean manufacturing, Sigma Green or Black Belt, and at least 5 years' electronics manufacturing process experience.
