Program Overview
We are seeking a Program Logistics Coordinator to join our team at BAE Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, integrating, and coordinating Integrated Logistics Support functions for military and commercial programs. This role requires preparation and maintenance of Logistics Technical and Management Plans and Supportability Plans.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgets and schedules for Logistics requirements on assigned program(s) and perform duties as Cost Account Manager for Supportability and Logistics program tasks.
- Establish and maintain a Support and Services Plan for programs supported.
- Evaluate Commercial Product Support Agreement (PSA) and Customer Support Agreement (CSA) requirements for ILS/Maintainability/Reliability compliance and coordinate with functional interfaces.
- Manage the development of technical manual plans, materials, verification, and validations for programs supported.
- Assess Request for Proposals/Requests for Quotations (RFP/RFQs) to determine Maintainability and Logistics requirements and prepare cost inputs and Logistics volume/sections.
- Influence system design through Logistics innovations to reduce Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC).
- Review field support requirements and recommend tools and Support Equipment, as well as establish calibration requirements for field systems/equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field or its equivalent.
- 8 or more years experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Able to exercise discretion and independent judgment, making decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, and sound interpersonal skills for interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
- Computer skills to prepare reports and documents, including using Logistics state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories, and concepts.
