About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of low-voltage and telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of low-voltage and telecommunications systems, including structured cabling, voice and data systems, communications room layout, and building infrastructure.
- Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform tasks such as creating plans, updating BIM/AutoCAD detail libraries, Visio drawings, and coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements.
- Provide technical input for scopes of work and budgetary estimates.
- Provide design coordination with multiple engineering disciplines and the project architectural team.
Requirements
- High school diploma and at least 6 years of experience developing layout and design for technology systems including voice, data, and structured cabling.
- Strong knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems from an installation and basic design perspective.
- Well-versed in BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage and telecommunications systems.
