Title: SAP HCM Payroll Expert Consultant
Location: Remote (Minimal travel to Harrisburg, PA may be required)
Duration: June 2025 – December 2026
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Project Overview:
Our client is leading a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation for a state-level transportation authority responsible for managing and modernizing toll-based roadway infrastructure and enterprise systems. This project includes the migration of ECC, SRM, and BW systems to S/4HANA. The SAP HCM Payroll Expert will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity and accuracy of payroll operations throughout this enterprise-wide modernization effort.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the payroll workstream for the ECC to S/4HANA migration.
- Analyze and document current payroll functionality in ECC.
- Design and configure payroll processes within S/4HANA.
- Ensure accurate W-2 generation and payroll execution in compliance with U.S. regulations.
- Collaborate with business users to capture current-state and future-state requirements.
- Participate in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of payroll scenarios.
- Provide post-go-live hypercare and issue resolution support.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll.
- Deep expertise in U.S. payroll processing, including W-2 generation within ECC and S/4HANA.
- Strong configuration skills and experience leading payroll implementations or migrations.
- Proven ability to interface directly with clients and interpret complex business processes.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills—must be able to learn and understand the client’s existing SAP system and translate to future-state functionality.
