Luggage Assistant

The Luggage Assistant is responsible for escorting arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations, as well as transporting and handling luggage.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm, professional, and friendly demeanor upon arrival.

• Assist with the unloading and loading of luggage from vehicles.

• Read and match luggage tags, write claim tickets and detach portion to provide to guest.

• Escort guests to their accommodations and explain room amenities and hotel facilities.

• Handle luggage storage and retrieval services.

• Provide local area information, including attractions, restaurants, and directions.

• Maintain an organized and secure luggage storage area.

• Report any damaged or missing luggage to management.

• Operate luggage carts, trolleys, or other equipment safely.

• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure guest and personal safety.

• Uphold resort standards, values, and image at all times.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or as a bell attendant.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Ability to work a variety of shifts including AM shifts, PM shifts, weekends and holidays.

• Standing, sitting, walking, repetitive movement, lifting of heavy items (up to 70 pounds).

Salary Range: $13.00 - $16.00 an hour

(Please note that the salary range referenced in this job posting is inclusive of both the hourly rate and estimated tips earned per hour).
