Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional meal service within our assisted living facility. The Dietary Aide will play a vital role in supporting the dietary department by assisting in meal preparation, ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen, and delivering meals to residents. This position requires strong time management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and work areas are sanitized and maintained in compliance with health regulations.
- Deliver meals to residents, ensuring that dietary restrictions are followed.
- Buss tables and assist with serving meals during dining hours.
- Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Support the dietary department with cleaning tasks as needed, including washing dishes and utensils.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in a culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while also being self-motivated.
- Experience working in assisted living or similar settings is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
