Position Summary

A Machinist I safely and accurately operates a CNC or manual machine that fabricates tubes, rods and components used in hydraulic cylinders.

Position Responsibilities

A Machinist I would be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Operates a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components 
• Operates a manual machine for fabrication. 
• Reads mechanical drawings for components, tubes, rods and makes needed calculations 
• Uses quality control equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
• Ensures preventive maintenance is conducted as necessary 
• Maintains equipment daily 
• Follows safety and security policies and procedures and reports any unsafe conditions
• Maintains a clean work environment 
• Adheres to Five “S” standards and procedures  

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred
  • Experience in a production environment
  • Programming experience

• Ability to apply basic mathematical principles such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions
