Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks associated with loading and unloading products, and flexible weekly daytime and evening hours.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks and van.
- Load and unload products, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing exceptional service during each delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and any issues encountered during transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns to management.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for efficient loading and unloading of goods.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driver's license.
- The ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not required.
- Strong physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required.
- Experience in courier services or similar delivery roles is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Familiarity with moving logistics and best practices for safe transportation of goods.
- Competence in using equipment like pallet jacks for handling freight efficiently.
