Baird Holm LLP is seeking a full time Paralegal with Labor & Employment and/or Work Comp experience to join our world class litigation team. Your primary responsibilities are litigation support for our Labor & Employment section. You will collaborate with our attorneys and trial teams in all aspects of case management in litigation at both the state and federal levels, as well as arbitrations, ranging from single-plaintiff actions to large, multi-plaintiff class actions.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Performs legal research of local rules; court record searches; performs civil and criminal background checks.
- Advise attorneys regarding legal technology and workflow design appropriate for all phases of the eDiscovery Reference Model (EDRM), including forensics collection, document review, chain of custody, and trial presentation.
- Perform all technology related assignments in support of ongoing litigation.
- Assists in all phases of discovery: drafts discovery requests, objections and responses; drafts deposition outlines, exhibits, and summaries; drafts and tracks various types of subpoenas.
- Drafts correspondence, pleadings, and motions for review by assigned attorney.
- Analyzes and summarizes medical and other third-party records.
- Creates and maintains databases for litigation or other practice support throughout the lifecycle of matters, including processing data, filtering data, generating reports, and assisting with database searches.
- Communicates and meets with clients to accomplish specific tasks.
- Organizes documents, including all exhibits and witness lists; prepares trial documents; arranges for transportation of all files and exhibits to and from the courtroom; prepares and issues trial subpoenas; serves as a liaison between attorneys and clients, opposing counsel, and courtroom personnel. Also assists with preparation for and presenting evidence during mock trials.
- Manage vendors to assure that quality data deliverables and services are provided.
- Troubleshoots litigation support applications and databases.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Technical capacity including, but not limited to, experience in Everlaw, Nextpoint, Relativity, or other eDiscovery software preferred.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, Litigation Support Applications, Electronic Filing, Westlaw, and other internet research tools.
- Knowledge and experience with managing, processing, and maintaining electronically stored information including management and oversight of document coding and document utilization tasks for discovery and trial needs.
