Croker Huck has an immediate opening for a full-time dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal who will assist with litigation matters from the inception of a file through the closing of the file in a professional, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Must be a team player with a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience along with the ability to multi-task.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage plaintiff and defense work primarily in commercial, probate, personal injury and foreclosure litigation matters
- Draft and respond to discovery and other pleadings
- Collect and electronically organize documents from the client and productions from other parties
- Manage the online repositories of documents and keyword searches for responsive items
- Prepare and maintain depositions, trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness lists and case timelines
- Summarize depositions and trial testimony
- Verify relevant information using discovery document collections, depositions, internet resources and public information
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Electronically file documents with the court and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in litigation
- Proficiency in legal research
- Strong understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in trial preparation and courtroom procedures
