JOB DESCRIPTION
Title : Strategic Sourcing Intern Department : Procurement
Status : Non-Exempt Effective Date : November 1, 2024
Reports to : Procurement Director
SUMMARY OF POSITION :
This role is responsible for assisting Bake’n Joy’s procurement team with critical information and analysis that support the company’s strategic sourcing activities across more than 100 packaging and ingredient suppliers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Strategic Sourcing
- Support the Procurement Team’s implementation of sourcing strategies for all packaging and ingredient categories.
- Conduct supplier and market research. Compiled key reports and analysis related to supplier performance and market assessments.
- Ensure that data sources for key commodities (ex. sugar, eggs, flour) are adequately captured on a day-to-day and strategic basis to cover manufacturing needs and capture pricing benefits for BNJ.
- Support Procurement KPI needs relative to Supplier supply assurance, capacity planning and quality.
