What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
Troubleshooting/repairing/testing/inspecting/calibrating various industrial equipment: primarily motors, air actuated valves, pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices.
Documenting and reporting work execution key findings.
Ensuring proper operation of all control system components to include electronic components, analyzers, on/off valves, control valves solenoids, limit switches, PLC and related I/O modules.
Assisting in and providing expertise on electrical inspections and new/existing installations
Working with operations and maintenance personnel to help identify & prioritize electrical and instrumentation needs and issues.
Sharing knowledge with other technicians as it relates to maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation, electrical components, and controls.
Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):
High School Diploma or GED.
A minimum of 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment
State of Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Journeyman license
This position is hourly non-exempt
LME certified wage range is $45 - $50 /hour
Journeyman certified wage range is $49 - $54 /hour
Experience troubleshooting and performing preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment including motor controls, control valves, programmable logic controllers, and control instrumentation.
Ability to work at heights and in extreme weather conditions.
Willing to work overtime, on-call, and wear a respirator as needed.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Commitment to safety protocols, including PPE use.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
Experience in instrument calibration and industrial test equipment.
Knowledge of Honeywell Experion or other DCS programming/troubleshooting.
Expertise in AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and control loop tuning.
Experience with MCCs and electrical equipment up to 480V.
Proficiency in computer systems, networks, and CMMS software.
Familiarity with electrical one-line drawings, P&IDs, cable schedules, and I/O lists.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
