What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
Performs maintenance as directed on all plant equipment and other duties in accordance with Bakelite guidelines.
Keeps records of maintenance performed including preventive and repair maintenance on all plant equipment. Supplies record of maintenance performed to the Maintenance Supervisor and performs preventative and repair maintenance on all plant equipment.
Performs fabrication, assembly, and erection of equipment and structures as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Performs routine scheduled inspections of equipment and reports any abnormalities to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualified to give on the spot first aid treatment and willing to always wear proper personal protective safety gear and maintain safety gear in good condition.
Perform construction, installation, and modifications in accordance with engineering and management approved directives.
See that all materials, supplies, and equipment are kept in proper places and cleans up after every job.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have two years of maintenance manufacturing or power generation mechanical experience.
Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well and communicate in a timely manner at all company levels.
Ability to navigate computer maintenance management systems.
Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings (P&ID, PFD, and Isometrics).
Welding certification (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW) is desired.
