What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Clerk position at Baker Brand?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for accurately opening and closing matters
- Sort, classify and code incoming documents for filing according to guidelines using chronological, alphabetical and/or numerical order.
- Maintenance of files by filing incoming documents and updating file indices
- File retrieval for attorneys, secretaries and paralegals
- Track/document files and materials removed from files to ensure they are returned
- Re-shelving files when returned
- Preparation of files for offsite file maintenance
- Offsite storage retrieval
- Answer questions about records and files

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional services experience highly desirable.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel.
