PURPOSE
The Systems Drafter role will support the Automation Engineering team in executing project deliverables and enhancing technical capabilities. This entry-level role provides an opportunity for growth in the automation design field while working under the guidance of senior engineers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Assist in the creation of designs for automated processes including : electrical design, panel layouts, MCC’s, one-lines, network layouts, component selection and bills of materials
- Help develop electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical, E-Plan, Visio or any other drafting software with the use of Baker Groups tools, libraries and best practices
- Collaborate with the engineering team on project documentation and control submittals.
- Travel to and from jobsites as required.
- Participate in meetings to assist in the communication of project requirements and maintain organized project files and documentation
- Help prepare customer demos and proposals in support of Project Managers and Automation Engineers
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in testing and commissioning activities.
