What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Baker's Daughter - Eaton Hotel?
Baker’s Daughter is a chef driven café and market from the team behind Gravitas offering coffee, baked goods, prepared foods & gourmet grocery items. Chef Matt Baker harnesses the seasonal bounties of the Chesapeake region for a menu of composed carryout meals, a la carte dishes to go, house-made and locally-baked breads and pastries.
Positions available include Barista, as well as Shift Supervisor.
- Hospitality Focused Individual, who is detail oriented, passionate and knowledgeable about coffee service.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Has the ability and drive to genuinely selling our beverages (NA cocktails, coffees, teas, juices, and food)
- Willingness to learn and adhere to recipes.
- Prioritizes working clean. Understands basic health and sanitation standards with beverage prep.
- Willing to work in all positions needed for Front of the House Operations.
- Able to study, learn, and sell the made to order food, grab and go, and pastries.
- Accuracy with Cash Handling, Ringing in Orders, and Communication.
- Multitasking between all Bakers Daughter Guest needs, and stocking / organizing.
- 1 year of barista experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to relay orders and tickets to the kitchen,
- Checks orders for accuracy and packing togo orders.
