SUMMER PROGRAMMING: CAMP INVENTION TEACHERS

POSITION SUMMARY

• Up to 4 Certified Teachers
• Camp Invention is a 5-day STEM program incorporating academic support and enrichment activities for students entering 3rd - 6th grades.

CAMP INVENTION DATES

• Monday thru Friday beginning June 23, 2025 - June 27, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (student time 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
  • Additional Days:
    • 1 Prep Day between June 16, 2025 - June 20, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    • 1 Clean Up Day after June 27, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicant must specify grade level preferred in Letter of Interest which must be uploaded and must indicate non-available dates or indicate availability for duration of program.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES OF SUMMER STAFF

• Leadership qualities and/or experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and facilitation skills, including creative problem solving and mediating skills.
• Ability to apply effective instructional and management practices to direct and motivate all students.
• Flexible and adaptable; comfortable working with K - 6th grade students; highly ethical with a strong sense of integrity and fairness; advocate for kids; willingness and ability to make time commitments.
• Familiarity with alternative educational opportunities such as play based, project based, and experiential learning.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF SUMMER STAFF

• Ability to physically perform job duties.
• Ability to hike and supervise students on physical excursions.
• Frequently required to walk, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

SALARY INFORMATION

• Certified – Daily Stipend $305.00. (Up to 7 days calculated.)
