Camp John Marc is seeking a Director of Maintenance, Infrastructure, and Capital Improvement Programs. This is a newly created leadership position responsible for the continued development and upkeep of the facility. The Director will manage all aspects of facility maintenance, infrastructure integrity, and capital improvement projects, ensuring that every aspect of camp operations meets the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and functionality. Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, utilities, and camp infrastructure.
·Manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure all facilities operate efficiently and safely.
·Implement best practices in sustainability, conservation, and resource management.
·Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
·Lead the planning and execution of major capital projects, renovations, and infrastructure expansions.
·Develop long-term strategic plans for facility upgrades and enhancements aligned with CJM’s vision and growth.
·Manage project budgets, timelines, and vendor contracts, ensuring high-quality results.
·Collaborate with leadership and donors to prioritize capital investments.
·Supervise a dedicated team of maintenance staff and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
·Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
·Provide direct leadership, training, and mentorship to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team.
·Develop and implement emergency response plans for infrastructure-related incidents.
·Ensure all facilities meet ADA and accessibility standards for campers with physical challenges.
·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in risk management, safety protocols, and crisis response.

Base Salary: $85,000 to $95,750 per year, depending on qualifications.

CJM seeks an experienced professional who holds a bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline (preferred, but not required), at least ten (10) years of professional experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, Facilities Manager, camp director, or related professional hands-on leadership roles, CPR Certification, and Certified Pool Operator License. The individual selected will have an opportunity to secure any necessary certifications within 30 days of employment.
Other desired qualifications include:
·Proven leadership experience managing large-scale capital improvement projects.
·Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
·Extensive Maintenance and Facilities Management Experience.
·Technical Skills: Proficiency in using maintenance management software, project management tools, and other relevant technologies.
·Project Management: Proven record of managing large-scale projects, including planning, execution, and completion, with a focus on infrastructure and capital improvements.
·Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams, including full-time staff, contractors, and volunteers.
·Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
·Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
·Sustainability Practices: Familiarity with best practices in sustainability, conservation, and resource management.
