Job Description :
Scope Purpose of the position
The purpose of this position is to operate a machine according to standards and specs. Within the role of a Machine Operator, through various positions and tasks, you will be engaged in quality checks, equipment set-up / changeovers, strong communication upstream and downstream with your peers, and contribute to the success and well-being of the business.
Responsibilities :
Monitor the overall process including but not limited to product quality, temperature, weight, waste / downtime, and any deviations that occur.
Verify visually product quality, lot code, and settings are present and accurate, etc.
Ensures the traceability of the material by completing all traceability paperwork, and checklists.
Report all quality and safety concerns to the reporting manager or member of the management team, not limited to but including unknown visitors, pest control, expiration or production quality in question, sanitation, etc.
Machine Operators shall be flexible in ability and assist as required.
In addition to the specific duties outlined, you may be required to perform other tasks and responsibilities as deemed necessary by your manager. These tasks will be relevant to your role and within the scope of your area of expertise.
Requirements : Education :
Highschool / GED diploma is required
Skills :
Strong verbal and written communication skills; maintain strong communication with other areas and departments.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in production processes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment, maintaining efficiency under time constraints.
Proficient in basic math (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication) for data recording.
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
Basic understanding of production processes or willingness to learn technical skills related to food manufacturing.
One year of experience in production or food manufacturing is preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb (including stairs / ladders).
Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Physical dexterity necessary to handle supplies, machine parts and tools.
Vision abilities : close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
