The Service Coordinator is usually the first, and sometimes, the only contact a customer has with us and is the face of Workforce Solutions to many of our customers. Service coordinators welcome visitors either in-person or virtually, listens to their needs, and determines how we can help. Bilingual preferred.
- Primarily responsible for managing a large volume of inbound phone calls in a timely manner:
- Identify customer needs, resolve issues, and provide solutions including referring customers for escalations.
- Route callers to appropriate service representatives and assist with setting up meetings and/or appointments with other Workforce Solutions staff.
- Critiques resumes and provides suggestions to individuals.
- Assists customers in completing applications for service.
- Effectively help customers use equipment such as fax, copier, scanner, and computer.
- Assists with setting up email accounts and passwords for use in sending resumes, using Work-in-Texas, My TX Careers, and other search engines, applying online for jobs, and assisting customers with their job search by providing quality referrals to jobs available in Work-in-Texas.
- Assist customers patiently with problems and complaints and to remain courteous when dealing with challenging customers.
- Ability to multitask and effectively handle situations where multiple customers want attention at the same time.
- Familiar with current local labor markets for the Gulf Coast Region.
- Wide knowledge of Workforce Solutions services
