The Total Rewards Analyst is a member of the Total Rewards department which focuses on supporting the
agency in administering effective compensation and benefits programs at BakerRipley. The Total Rewards
Analyst will work with management and employees in administering the Agency's benefit plans, insurance and
retirement programs, worker's compensation, FMLA and leave of absence, ADA Accommodation, and the
coordination of financial literacy events, the evaluation of compensation programs.
Deliver efficient and professional services to business partners and employees by providing a wide variety of
Compensation and Benefit administrative and analytical services that ensure compliance with all State and
Federal benefit and compensation laws, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:
- Support the Total Rewards Team in all aspects of employee benefits and compensation programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations
- Analyze benefit plan offerings, compensation information, and other total rewards data to assist the HR leadership team to make informed recommendations to Senior leadership around metrics including enrollment percentages, plan effectiveness, competitiveness, and utilization
- Manages United Healthcare, Prudential, Transamerica (403b), and other benefit invoicing and auditing to ensure reconciliation with accounting and payroll
- Process and administer leave of absence requests and disability life cycle including FMLA, personal and discretionary leave, short-term disability, and long-term disability
- Assist with processing direct bill for employees on leave of absence, monthly benefit reconciliation arrears, benefit terminations, and benefit check reimbursements
- Process and track documentation for all benefits enrollment dependent verifications, life event changes, COBRA, and 403(b) loans, ensuring compliance with policies and state/federal regulations
- Maintain HRIS Records and employee benefit files, entering updates as changes are needed assist with annual Open Enrollment, including benefit portal setup and testing, trainings, meetings, benefit enrollment materials, and processing back end dependent verifications, and evidence of insurability
- Coordinates with vendors such as UHC, BSWIFT, Plexus, Prudential, and Concentra to resolve issues through email, phone calls, or during scheduled open items virtual calls
- Track the entire life cycle of employee injury reporting and Worker’s Compensation claims
- Complete the OSHA 300, 300A, and other work-related injury documentation
- Assist Benefits Lead with reviewing benefits contracts to ensure compliance with the City of Houston Pay or Play program
- Participates in job pricing reviews ensuring integrity of market survey job matches and evaluates both external market data and internal data to analyze and determine compensation levels
- Follows up on billing issues and employee deduction discrepancies
- Assist Compensation Lead in planning and communication of monthly financial literacy events
- Effectively audit 403(b) interface files for any discrepancies on bi-weekly and monthly basis
- Assist Compensation Lead with employee focused events regarding retirement planning, financial education, or other Total Rewards topics
- Provides recommendation to Compensation Lead in response to pay-related questions
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Excellent listening skills and ability to demonstrate patience and a non-judgmental attitude when dealing with people experiencing crises.
- Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Familiar with HR business processes in HR functions including end-to end processes for benefits
- Understanding of current U.S. laws and regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.)
- Knowledge of BSwift and UKG Pro Benefit Administration preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite and Hands-on experience with HRIS systems e.g., UKG Pro preferred,

- Ability to manage office-related stress, possess time management skills, and effective communication.
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
