Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our team at our Charleroi facility. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and executing HR strategies to support our 24/5 manufacturing operations. This role requires proactive leadership to address the needs of a diverse, round-the-clock workforce while fostering a positive, compliant, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the HR Director and plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent acquisition, retention, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Participate in the full recruitment cycle and implement effective onboarding programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Employee Engagement: Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, monitor workforce attitudes, and address culture gaps.
- Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and update policies as necessary.
- Timekeeping & Payroll: Oversee timekeeping systems and payroll reports, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Employee Relations: Manage disciplinary processes, investigations, and termination procedures while coaching management on consistent policy enforcement.
- Safety & Workers’ Compensation: Oversee accident reporting and return-to-work processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity initiatives and foster an inclusive workplace.
- Crisis Management: Provide HR support during emergencies, including sporadic weekend work, to ensure uninterrupted operations.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Certification as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
- Proven expertise in talent acquisition, employee development, and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
