Senior Maintenance Manager
The Senior Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department's operations and ensuring the effective functioning of all maintenance activities. This hands-on role involves leading a team, administering the CMMS, managing MRO, implementing maintenance programs, handling special projects, and providing engineering solutions. The Senior Maintenance Manager will play a key role in achieving maximum machine uptime by reducing costs, increasing productivity, and improving machine reliability in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance team’s capabilities to: implement, manage, and drive equipment maintenance and reliability programs, including Corrective Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) and Operator Asset Care (OAC) programs, to eliminate recurring issues and achieve production/efficiency goals.
- Manage multiple breakdowns and maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Lead and manage special projects related to maintenance and engineering.
- Provide engineering solutions to improve and sustain production equipment efficiency.
- Guide, mentor and develop a team of maintenance leaders by fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Maintain safe working conditions throughout the manufacturing facility to eliminate potential accidents or injuries. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety standards.
- Build and leverage positive cross-functional relationships to address identified issues and opportunities to implement best practices and solutions to meet current and future business requirements.
- All other projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in Technical or Engineering preferred
- 5 years of Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with 3-5 years of supervisory experience required.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), as well as other software programs (i.e. AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project).
- Strong skills in project management, scoping, estimation, scheduling, and budgeting are essential.
- Familiarity with GMPs and sanitary design principles for equipment specifications, installations, and modifications.
- Capable of excelling in a collaborative environment and leading cross-functional teams to meet plant reliability objectives.
- Exceptional planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and tasks effectively
- Superior technical, data-driven, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, including the capability to influence and motivate team members.
Work Environment
The working environment includes both office and manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to stand, bend, walk, and sit.
