What are the responsibilities and job description for the Children Services Program Coordinator position at BALANCE AUTISM?
Balance Autism is looking for a Children Services Program Coordinator to add to our team! This position is includes coordinating program activities within our children’s community programs. This leader coordinates, trains, and evaluates the employees running the programing for persons served. Responsibilities are performed personally and implemented alongside the leadership to direct care staff to ensure appropriate programing for persons served.
Responsibilities include
- Ensure that the health and safety needs of the person(s) served are met
- Focus every day on supporting people with autism as they gain higher levels of independence, including skills related to: hygiene, personal care, building social relationships and networks, communication, and community involvement as needed
- Serve as a contact for family/guardians and outside agency communications, providing follow up to concerns in a timely manner and keeping ongoing record of all such contacts.
- Some travel as needed
- Leads in developing, and monitoring personalized programs, autism specific strategies and innovative solutions in order to generate successful outcomes for individuals on caseload
- Obtains information for reports to ensure proper management of areas of responsibility
- Communicate professionally with legal representatives, families and allied professionals.
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with individual(s) served and co-workers to promote successful outcomes
- Coordinate services as identified by the interdisciplinary team.
- Update goals and objectives, retraining staff as needed.
- Coordinate and assist in creating goal and objective materials needed for each person served.
- Responsible for ensuring files are compliant with payer and credentialing guidelines and regulations.
- Obtain necessary authorizations and consents from family or legal guardian and keep them updated as needed.
- Assist in Quality Interaction and Fidelity checks with staff in a timely manner.
- Assist with billing for all services as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
