What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTERMIDATE LEVEL SYSTEM ADMIN position at Balance of Nature?
Balance of Nature is a whole food supplement company that’s changing the world one life at a time. Located in Hurricane, UT, we are looking for a full-time System Administrator Tier 2 to manage our computer systems, networking, phones, and database, and help improve our IT infrastructure.
You will play a key role in managing and improving our IT systems by helping fulfill IT tickets through problem solving and your experience. You will also analyze data to find patterns of down trends in our work that we can improve.

And must have,
- 2 years experience in System Administration
- 2 years experience in Linux
- Some knowledge of programming and/or scripting.
Day-to-day life as a System Administrator:
- Monitoring our systems to detect any hardware issues or limitations and reporting them to your team
- Managing servers and networking equipment, and scheduling maintenance when needed.
- Handle advanced IT problems that get assigned to you.
- Addressing network, phone, and database outages promptly.
- Creating incident reports and submitting them to your team for review and necessary changes.
- Identifying trends in the company’s IT problems and suggesting improvements for the IT Infrastructure.
- In the event of any unforeseen issues create a well-prepared plan within 10 minutes.
- Monitoring the IT ticket system daily to promptly respond to security or usability concerns.
- Maintaining documentation and updating runbooks with current system procedures.
- Collaborating with your team to discuss infrastructure needs and improvements.
- Traveling to remote sites and independently resolving technical issues across our organizations.
- Proposing policies and procedures to your team that improve quality of life.
- Mentoring and training less experienced system administrators.
Pay: $60,000 to $75,000 annually Bonuses
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours and on call as needed.
