Duties
- Operate various types of commercial printing presses, ensuring optimal performance and output quality.
- Perform layout design and color management to achieve desired print specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process to maintain high standards.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure accurate reproduction of typography and overall design.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the printing process.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure longevity and reliability.
- Assist in the setup and operation of additional machinery as needed, including forklifts for material handling.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Printing Press Operator or in a similar role within the printing industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly with tools relevant to graphic design and print advertising.
- Familiarity with machining processes and techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and color management principles.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
