Evaluation Criteria:
The Safety Coordinator will be evaluated based on their ability to ensure that all buses are operated safely and efficiently. This individual will also be required to perform daily pre-trip inspections of the buses and submit reports as needed.

- Ensure that all buses are operated safely and efficiently

Requirements:
- Valid Alabama bus driver certificate and commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- Aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Successful drug screening results
- Competent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate a school vehicle over an assigned route according to a defined time schedule
- Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility, and visual acuity to safely operate school bus or other system-owned vehicles
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force
