Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance and body repair on school vehicles
- Assisting in the development of written maintenance records for all vehicles owned by the school system
- Responding promptly to emergency situations and performing road call duties as needed
- Engaging in work-related training to increase knowledge and skills as directed
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy-duty fleet mechanics
- Valid Alabama bus driver certificate and commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Pass regular drug screenings
- Physical strength and agility to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and exert up to 75 pounds of force
