Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Location: South Baldwin (Orange Beach, AL)
Description of Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, and issue merchandise, materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse or storage yard.
- Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to coworkers, based on information from incoming job orders.
- Prepare for shipping and receive deliveries from UPS, receive deliveries from vendors, record receipt, and stock in the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory records as directed.
- Processes work orders utilizing the NISC system as directed.
- Receives material into inventory and transfers material between warehouses in IVUE.
- Participate in the warehouse's annual inventory.
- Inspect forklifts for safety. Operate forklifts to move equipment and supplies from one area of the warehouse to another.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing and Warehouse manager to re-stock poles and transformers as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Be a champion of safety culture.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of inventory control, and basic knowledge of computer operation with data entry.
- Two (2) years of prior experience.
- Basic math skills and communication skills.
- Must complete requirements for CDL license and forklift certification.
Working Conditions:
- Duties are primarily performed indoors, not in an environmentally controlled setting.
- Overtime work during emergency situations.
- Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
